A data source is a reference to a backend system that can store data to and read data from. They are configured as a global facility. Depending on where it’s used the configuration system will determine if the selected data source supports the operations. For example, the LDAP data source can be used to lookup accounts and credentials, but cannot be used to store tokens. Attempting to configure it as a token store will be aborted by Curity.
There are different types of datasources available in the server, each of them taking specific configuration properties to allow for tuning the behaviour of the datasource.
